For 100 years, thousands
have flocked to the Deep Eddy pool, located in Southwestern Austin. It’s man-made,
features a depression-era bathhouse, and is protected under the U.S. National
Registrar Of Historic Places.
What, then, does the Deep
Eddy pool have to do with Deep Eddy Vodka?
Absolutely nothing.
Deep Eddy Vodka is a
premium spirits company (also based in Austin, Texas). Swimming in it would
likely kill you. (Though, it would be VERY fun for the first few minutes.)
Still, the name hasn’t
caused much confusion. The brand is experiencing it’s 5th year of
triple digit growth in all 50 states. This piqued our interest, so we dug a
little deeper.
Deep Eddy Vodka was
founded in 2010 by two local entrepreneurs with a background in spirits.
Mr. Clayton Christopher (creator of Sweet Leaf Tea) and Mr. Chad Auler (creator
of Savvy Vodka).
The brand left its mark right
away with a line of premium vodka made using real ingredients and all-natural
flavors. Best of all—Deep Eddy Vodka is 100% made in the U.S.A. (which, if you
didn’t realize by now, is why we’re featuring it).
Part of Deep Eddy’s charm is their commitment to locally and nationally farmed products. Local grapefruits, honey, cranberries and lemons help flavor their extensive vodka line, which includes traditional, Ruby Red, Sweet Tea, Cranberry and Lemon flavors.
Even clearer than their vodka, though, is the fact that their American-made commitment works. Today, Deep Eddy Vodka is the nation's fastest growing vodka brand. They’re also the only brand that achieved triple digit growth (117%!) over the last year (and have done so over the last 5 years).
